The Audi e-tron Q4 40 is a premium electric SUV that boasts impressive performance and a sleek, modern design. Let’s take a closer look at some of the features that make this vehicle a standout in the world of electric cars.
The e-tron Q4 40 is powered by a single electric motor that produces up to 201 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 8.5 seconds, which is impressive for an electric SUV. The top speed of the vehicle is electronically limited to 99 miles per hour, which is more than enough for most drivers.
The battery pack in the e-tron Q4 40 has a total capacity of 77 kWh, which provides a range of up to 250 miles on a single charge. The car also supports fast charging, which means that it can be charged up to 80% in just 38 minutes using a high-powered DC fast charger.
The e-tron Q4 40 has a sleek, modern design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The vehicle features a large grille at the front, which helps to improve aerodynamics and increase efficiency. The LED headlights are also a standout feature, providing excellent visibility and a unique look.
Inside, the e-tron Q4 40 offers plenty of space for passengers and cargo. The cabin is well-designed, with high-quality materials and modern technology throughout. The dashboard features a large touchscreen display that controls many of the vehicle’s functions, including navigation, climate control, and entertainment.
Like all Audi vehicles, the e-tron Q4 40 comes with a range of safety features designed to protect passengers and prevent accidents. These include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.
One unique safety feature in the e-tron Q4 40 is the Digital Matrix LED headlights. These headlights use micro-mirrors to create a precise beam of light that can be adjusted in real-time to avoid blinding other drivers. They also feature a special welcome animation that greets the driver when they approach the vehicle.
The Audi e-tron Q4 40 is an impressive electric SUV that offers a great combination of performance, design, and safety. With its long range, fast charging, and modern features, it’s a great choice for anyone looking for a premium electric vehicle. Plus, with Audi’s reputation for quality and reliability, you can be sure that you’re getting a vehicle that will last for years to come.
Whilst the Q4 etron is a great car, there are some basic problems with the software on it. It’s not capable of carrying out the basic function of setting a scheduled charging time.
The car is currently on MMI software version 3608 which does not allow us to log in via the MMI. It also does not allow us to configure scheduled charging, either from the MMI or the App. There is supposedly a software update coming to give us these basic features that you would expect on every Electric Vehicle, however its release has been imminent for the past 18 months and there is nothing yet. See more details here.
I spent around 3 weeks after buying the car, going round in circles with Audi Support and two local dealerships, however no-one seemed to know that this was an issue with the 2021 Q4 etron. Hopefully we’ll get an update soon, but for the time being I’ve got a workaround using a smart charger to schedule charging overnight on the cheap tariff.
